Homemade Peanut Butter

Nut butters are something so tasty and so simple. They are so good as toppings or to use as an ingredient for recipes. And they can be very healthy also. When you are preparing your own nut butter, you know exactly what is inside it! After preparing homemade almond butter I thought why not try to prepare a classic: Peanut Butter?

Peanut butter is not only tasty but also full of nutrients, including protein and magnesium. It is quite healthy, but of course, we have to watch out to not take way too much!

Peanut butter goes perfectly well with oats, in sandwiches, to eat with fruit or to add as an ingredient in some desserts, or even as a sauce.

This is a very simple recipe and you just need peanuts as ingredients to have the basic peanut butter. It is quite fun to watch the process of whole peanuts becoming a nice and smooth butter!

The more you beat it the smoother the texture. It is quite a fun project because you can also add some extras to your basic recipe and make it even more interesting.

I hope you try and enjoy this one!

Homemade Peanut Butter Recipe Ingredients :

This is an extremely simple recipe, all it takes is one ingredient: peanuts. The exact measurement is described in the recipe form below.

Peanuts: Roasted peanuts that’s all you need! The peanuts can be salted or unsalted. I used 250g, but if you want more, you just have to have more peanuts. The quantity of peanuts will also depend on the size of your food processor. If you have a big food processor, you will need more peanuts.

If you prefer your peanut butter crunchy, I recommend first making the peanut butter smooth and then adding peanut pieces to it.

This is the basic recipe, but you can add more ingredients to it, such as a sweetener if you like it, or add something else like cinnamon if you like it with a little extra something.

How to make Homemade Peanut Butter:

Very simple and easy recipe. All you need is peanuts and a food processor.

First, you will need to roast the peanuts a bit to help with the process. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C and spread the peanuts in a baking tray covered with a baking sheet. Roast the peanuts for around 5 minutes.

Then, put the peanuts in a food processor and process them until you obtain a very smooth consistency. You may need to stop throughout the process to give the food processor’s motor a break and to bring the peanuts back to the center, scraping down the sides of the bowl.

Initially, the mixture will be chunky, then, it’ll thicken, and finally, it will become creamy and smooth. The whole process time will depend on the potency of your food processor.

You might need a little patience also if your food processor is not powerful. But don’t worry, the result is totally worth it!
